Classy cocktail dress by French designer Pierre Balmain. The cut and details seen in this dress are fabulous. Beautiful neckline and gathers with dolman sleeves. The side gathers on the front of the skirt remind me of the dirndl style. This dress was a little too large for my mannequin (dress has a 28 inch waist). Fastens up the back with a long metal zipper and hooks/eyes. Super condition, I did notice a couple very minor and tiny pulls. Belt loops, but no belt. I have difficulty photographing black, so I took a few additional photos outside in natural light (sorry for the wrinkles) which lightens enough to see details. Dress is a true dark black all over, not as washed out as it appears in the last photos. Wonderful dress for the vintage collector! ** Purse shown in photos is not included with this auction item and can be purchased separately. ** Fabulous Gently Worn Condition.
