This dress is so incredible. I adore the swirls of sheer ribbon that form the numerous large 3-dimensional roses. Dress has a gathered/ very fitted torso, double shoulder straps, and 3-net layers (outermost being a lace net with the roses)  plus the black slip lining. Fastens up the left side with a long nylon  zipper (replaced at some point with a more modern zipper) and bodice has boning in front and back. It appears that at one time this dress was shortened and then let back out again (photo below has been lightened to show detail). 

Now for the fun stuff, but easy fixing - Some of the stitching has come loose at the side zipper, could use some single stitches here and there to tack down a couple roses by the neckline and the lace net at the upper side zipper seam as well. Also, the gathered torso has a couple small holes where the original single stitch tacking was and just needs to be re-tacked covering these holes. One shoulder strap has fraying at the very top (see photo, you could tuck in or easily replace them). And, on super-duper close inspection, I noticed in the skirt a very small fray in a couple spots on the rose ribbon and a small fray in the ribbon edge along the front bodice neckline as well. The lace patterned skirt net is so busy you cannot notice any of these flaws in it. With all said, I feel these are easy quick fixes for this wonderful party dress!
