Wonderful dress by Coty Award  winner Clovis Ruffin. Known for popularizing the t-shirt dress, widely seen in the early 1970's, has simple characteristics such as a scoop neckline, slightly flared skirt, and cap sleeves. Here is a wonderful and festive design using some of his signature lines.

Beautiful taffeta floor length dress does not have a defined waist and is open all the way down to the hem. Elasticized scoop neckline can be worn on the shoulders or off and is finished with short flared cap sleeves. Love the gathered ruffle hemline. This dress has belt loops, but my mannequin has a short waist so I opted not to use the loops when tying the sash belt (plus without a defined waist there is a lot of fabric to play with). You will see the belt loops poking out in a couple photos below. When belted as a slightly higher waist, it has a wonderful Victorian/Edwardian flair to it. Vintage choker necklace in photos is not included with the dress.
